The Sleep Revolution app – Participant instructions
These instructions are made for the participant and include installation and user instructions of the Sleep Revolution sleep diary app. Please download the document !here! to print out.
Installation
Installing the SleepRevolution app is different for iOS and Android devices. Please follow the instructions for your operating system.
iOS
In order to install the SleepRevolution app on iOS, you need to install another app, Called TestFlight, first. Scan the following QR code with your camera app to do so and open the link:
When the installation process has finished, you should be able to find TestFlight on your home screen.
Next, scan the next QR Code with your camera app and open the link:
This will give you access to the SleepRevolution app in TestFlight. Install the SleepRevolution app through TestFlight. After completing the installation, you should have access to the SleepRevolution app on your home screen as well.
Apple users are now ready to continue with the Setup section.
Android
To get the SleepRevolution app for android, simply scan the following QR code with your camera app and open the link. It will take you to the Play Store from where you can install the SleepRevolution app. When you have completed the installation, you can move on to the Setup section.
Setup
This is the Sleep Revolution app
- The app contains sleep diaries. That is a morning diary and an evening diary (takes around one to two minutes to answer).
- You will be filling into the app daily for 12 weeks.
- Participant starts by logging into the app using the login info provided.
- Agree to our Terms and conditions and that you are over 13 years old.
- We recommend allowing notifications.
- The participant answers yes or no to the questions and go to the next or previous question by clicking the arrows on the bottom of your phone screen. Like shown on the following figures.
The sleep diaries
This is the home screen where you can see the morning and evening diary. Each Diary takes around one to two minutes.
- The morning diary (see picture below on the left) relates to the night that just ended and should be filled out as soon as possible after wake-up.
- The evening diary (see picture below on the right) applies to the day that is about to end.
- Participants need to answer the evening questionnaire before 2am. If they go to sleep after 2am, they should fill the diary out before.
- By pressing the blue text in the diary, the participant can get a more thorough explanation of the question.
By pressing the overview tab (purple arrow points in the image below) you will get an overview of the variables asked in the diaries.
